A new kind of game and technology Wondershop sprouts out of We Foundation in October. Wondershop’s first game project is a community-based game, Project Wonderworld. We Foundation will continue to work alongside Wondershop to prevent the social exclusion of children and young people.

The foundation decides to takes a leap from being a granting foundation to an operational foundation, and begins to craft an idea of its own community house, Meltsi.
Meltsi is a space where children can explore and marvel at the universe through science, art, sports and technology.
Meltsi's activities are shaped by the idea of using game development for advancing inclusion, social studies and pedagogy, and at its core is the belief that games and technology can create measurable social impact.

Our We School concept is piloted in Espoo and Lohja, Finland.
The concept aims to increase inclusion among children in schools and to improve commitment to education.
Together with our local partners, we set up and open three new We Houses in Kerava, Pori, Tampere and Espoo.

The first We Community Houses open.
Community houses are open, free spaces for children and families, located in neighbourhoods with less services and a higher risk of social exclusion.
The first doors are opened in Pansio-Perno, Turku, in collaboration with our partner, the Fingerroos Foundation. Later in the same year we get the second house running in Lappeenranta, together with Nicehearts ry.

We Foundation is established by Supercell entrepreneurs Ilkka Paananen and Mikko Kodisoja:

From 2015 to 2019, we award EUR 10 million in grants to various NGOs and projects in Finland, such as Sekasin chat, Sekasin Discord and Migrant Youth Helsinki.
